Hold Your Horses playing country, americana, roots, bluegrass and nordic noir music with their own style. Taking inspiration from traditional country music and life itself, the group arranges the songs together with lyrics and melodies by the songwriter Martina Johnsson and Olle Florstam.
With the songs "Urgin `To Know" and "Risen", which featured on a compilation album by Acoustic Rainbow in the USA (2010 & 2014), Hold Your Horses music has spread and been played on radio stations worldwide. Hold Your Horses is based in Malmö, in the south of Sweden, since 2007 and over the years the band has had gigs around Sweden and Denmark - at festivals, clubs, restaurants, openings, malls, barns, TV and office parties. 2013 Hold Your Horses participated in the final of the Country-SM, Sweden. The band has released two self-produced EP`s. Hold Your Horses (CD, 2010) and Sometimes Hard Times (CD & 10" vinyl, 2013). In early 2018, their full-length album Broken Bones and shattered Dreams is released, on 12" vinyl, CD and downloads/streaming.

Everything comes to an end, so even great bands. After nearly 15 years, the Hold Your Horses era has come to an end. We are grateful for the long time we`ve had together. We  have the best of memories and great experiences from all the shows we played. We have decided to stop here, but life goes on with all its different angles, windings and choices.
Sometimes it is better to break up while it’s still good. Thank you for the great support over the years and we will be happy to still let you listen to us on all platforms forever.

Hold Your Horses in our hearts, forever!  /HYH
